+8 goal difference wiped out. Cheers, Unai. Not been very demanding or consistent today.

Honestly, get it together. Bit of perspective.

We’re still 2 points ahead of them but this is a pretty catastrophic result.

It's an absolute joke the way some are itching to go after Emery. He could finish 17th next season and I wouldn't turn after the amazing 2023 he gave us.

You know we've been shit when we make Spurs look like Real Madrid. Shocking performance from start to finish.

Yep utterly embarrassing and it started from picking Cash in the role he was.

Why does Emery wait until we are losing before changing it. He must be seeing the warning signs.

There were no warning signs, nothing was happening then there was a break for an injury and we switched off. Then we made a dumb mistake to gift them a second straight away. It's not on the manager.

Some welcome common sense.
What did we create?

That's just shifting the goalposts and you know it.
Not creating anything and being second best is a warning sign.

It's possible to think he's been brilliant for us, and that he fucked it miserably today.

He did, he over-compensated for a lack of options on the left by trying a new formation and we never got going.

But it's not all his fault. We're Aston Villa, and having something good within our grasp and bottling it is in our DNA, there's only so much a mortal like Emery can do to hold it off.

It is possible to suggest that Emery got it wrong today without being told that one is “having a go” at him. He is a great manager and there are few others I would want, but he got it wrong today. Full stop.
