The Coventry one is bizarre. We’ll live and die in these towns by the Enemy. Depressing lyrics about how awful Coventry is and there’s no escape. The modern equivalent of having Ghost Town as a club anthem.

The Arsenal one makes me laugh because the accent is so contrived and an obvious affectation. The singer is the son of one of the lead actresses in Birds of a Feather!

Anybody else hate the fact we play ‘hi ho’ on the final whistle of every game
I mean against Arsenal we didn’t need that shit music blasting out we just wanted to celebrate with players the atmosphere was already there it didn’t need to be contrived

The arsenal song is cringe.  Music after goals, also cringe.

Hi ho silver lining doesn’t particularly bother me. It’s been played for a very long time now and is part of the fabric now. I also like Crazy Train before games mostly because it’s clear nobody playing it would expect anyone to sing along necessarily. Plus it’s a belting tune by someone from Aston which wasn’t written for the football club itself.

I think that’s an important distinction, cos the music should never replace the atmosphere imo, so playing music after goals or tons that are clearly meant to create some kind of false ‘organic’ song like that Arsenal one.

I hate it before, during and after. It's clap along, singalong, fake atmosphere nonsense.
