Great result for you and us Frankie.

Make sure you batter the Tiny Totts on March 16.

Bailey currently is the best winger in the league. In space he can be almost unplayable at times.

He is and he appears to be moving quicker as well. Shows what confidence can do for a wide player.

Say thanks to FFC now get that champion league place!!

Seeing Traore make Maguire look like the donkey he really is was beautiful especially so when it rounded off with the winner. Well played Fulham.

What a mad game that was. For 45 minutes we cut through Forest at will and looked like we would score every time we attacked. Their goal before half-time seemed like a consolation even then.

However, their goal and the removal of Torres at h-t seemed to change the dynamic and the first 10 minutes of the second half was a nightmare with Forest attacking players running onto through balls without being tracked.

In the end the 4th goal killed them but they had a great chance at 3-2 which would have made for a very, very nervy last 30 minutes or so.

Our attacking play was scintillating but we do give teams a chance.

Man Utd losing is just perfect too.

John McGinn my MOM. Great goals from Doug but thought he was sloppy multiple times at the start of the second half which could really have cost us. Bailey and Watkins both excellent.

Fair play to Chambers. It couldn't have been easy to come in from the deep freeze like that but he didn't seem fazed, kept it simple and did well.

Up the mighty Villa!

Good result today.. breathing space between us and Spuds/United.
Not too fussed about the 2 goals, we were  playing with our third choice centre back pairing at the end, and with no Bouba, a little less protection.
Shoutouts for Leon, Ollie and Tielemans who I thought all ran their socks off. Dougie’s two goals hid what was a fairly lacklustre performance from him imo…. Got caught on the ball far too many times.
Credit to the team though. Ravaged by injuries, but ploughing on regardless…. They all seem to be grinding out a bit of form.

56 goals in just 26 games.

The last time we had a season with a better than 2 goals per game average was 1959/60 promotion back to Division One. 89 goals in 42 games. Gerry Hitchens, 11-1 against Charlton etc.

https://www.11v11.com/teams/aston-villa/tab/matches/season/1960/

The last time we bettered 2 goals per game in the top division was 92 in 42 games in 1932/33.

Excellent performance ( aside from five mins either side of HT). Onwards to Luton and upwards.

A great performance with a silly few minutes in between. When we start fast teams struggle to live with us. Defensively, 2 really poor goals to give away again but it’s 3 points and we are looking good.
McGinn stepped up, especially in the second half. He took control of the midfield and drove us forward like a proper captain when we were struggling a bit.

Was at the game earlier.  Very good 43 minutes where we looked sharp and it was very comfortable.  Switched off just before half-time and conceded, then didn't start in the second half and conceded again.  Scored the 4th and then it was comfortable from there on out.

Unai has confirmed that Pau was only taken off as a precaution. A very small niggle apparently…so, I expect him to not play again this season!!
