I don't know who said it but both Torres and Konsa are better defenders when they aren't supposed to be the dominant one.

Shockingly bad. The pre-season performances haven’t filled me with confidence for the season ahead. We look really poor.

Torres: great on the ball, absolutely rubbish at defending.

Our midfield are awol - no ball retention, no linking with the attack and Pau having a 'mare.

Well he's had a few too many ice creams this summer.

Exactly. Get me an actual defender, please.

We should have played a midfield in this game, instead of resting them all.

We have deserved this. We have played deep and let them have the ball for most of the game. I know Emery wants us to be comfortable playing from the back and in tight spaces but so far we don’t look comfortable at all. We do this versus West Ham next week we will lose handily. This isn’t encouraging at all.

I go to deal with a spider and I come back to this shit.

We weren't playing at all well beforehand to be honest. Can't keep the damn thing.
