My thought is that most of those players whose job it is to spot his runs are players like Tielemans, McGinn, Bailey, Ramsey, Pau even...players who've played with him a lot, basically.

Oh. Let's not worry about the likes of Onana, Philogene and the baron then.

I doubt Onana and Barrenechea will be looking up for Watkins on a regular basis. And Philogene has trained and played with Ollie before. You're making out this is a bigger thing than it is.

Onana's probably not going to be playing those instinctive passes that require intimate knowledge of Ollie's movements all that often, and the other two aren't first-choice starters and will get - and need - time with him in training anyway.

Besides, not sure one half max against Dortmund would've made all that much difference. Hands tied a bit with England going to the end in the Euros.

Is Villa TV working for everyone? It’s asking me for a match pass but I paid for the year.

With the combination of Euros, Copa America, and Olympics, I suspect there’ll be a few teams playing early league games without their ‘strongest’ line ups.

4 goals in the first 3 minutes, some of the best football ever seen...such a great game to miss out on.
