Any chances of rivers for this? Is it being shown anywhere?

So no pre-season games at all for Ollie. Marvellous.

To be fair we don't exactly need to ease him into the squad.

We do with the number of changes that have been made to it.

Playing Ollie today is like playing Harry Kane in England friendlies, as we already know what he can do. Let's have a look at Rogers and then Archer up front instead, and let Ollie enjoy an extra week's rest before he runs his bollocks off for the season. All good.

I think he'll be fine.

That's a bit of an odd take. He might be fine, but I'd argue that our only striker might like some actual match practice with some of the new players. But even more important is to give some of them experience with Ollie, spotting his runs etc.

Saw on Twitter that we have a behind closed doors friendly midweek which Ollie will play in. Not sure if it’s true though

My thought is that most of those players whose job it is to spot his runs are players like Tielemans, McGinn, Bailey, Ramsey, Pau even...players who've played with him a lot, basically.

There were photos of him getting engaged at least two weeks ago, but no idea why that would qualify him for extra time off.

I would expect that to be the case. To run through specific drills etc and for some work in the legs for Ollie in particular but a few others also.

Probably his missus telling he's spending too much time with his football mates and he doesn't love her anymore 😭
