I've seen Columbus Crew play live. They were a bit naff, although it was a few years ago.

There's an excellent three-part documentary about them airing on the BBC atm.

What's it called?

I believe you've already watched and recommended it. ;)

With a game vs DC squeezed in between.

You and me both.

You and Simon did a great job making that weekend awesome - despite not knowing where we would even play our game a couple of hours before we played !

I know man. It was very tough and go to the very end. The only that was a bit disappointing on the day is given how much prep we put into it, there were one or two bell ends who got rowdy and wanted their kids to play. We didn’t need the grief so let them. It was fine in the end.

I’ll connect with Simon because I know he’ll be there. My company has an office in Columbus so this works out great for me. I’ll be in on the Friday I imagine and out on Sunday.

We are at a family gathering in Florida the week before so not sure if we can even make it yet. 12yo Daughter is desperate to go and see the Villa again though. The Philly game last summer was her first time seeing them live and she was VERY excited :) Fingers-crossed.

From the Dortmund OS

Quote
Back in Dortmund, Borussia will celebrate the season opening ceremony with their fans on 10 August and will mark the occasion with a friendly against the current fifth-placed club in the English Premier League, Aston Villa, at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.
