I believe that should be ok because the ticket should be valid throughout the county and Cologne is in the same one. Best bet is to check at the station before you travel, because I know of cases where they can fine you (they did it to mother in law, so not all bad news!).

It's valid for one journey each way across the whole region. We're flying into and staying in Dusseldorf, and the combi-ticket is valid that far.

You can only use it on the slower regional trains, not the faster ICE ones.

Have we sold all our Dortmund tix? Can’t seem to see any available anywhere in the stadium, unless, as is likely, I’m doing something wrong

Can anyone help a poor Luddite out here? I’ve opened an account, have got to ‘pick a seat’ but can’t get any further or add to basket.

Took hours to work this out – I eventually got tickets, once I'd added an address and ID number to my Dortmund account. The English part of the site wouldn't complete the transaction, but I finally made it work through the German url links.

It's not cheap, but some BA flights out of London are currently cheaper than the train options.

I actually like it when we lose some of the pre-season games. It leaves nobody under any illusion that there's work to do. As opposed to comfortably winning them all and then having a shock on the opening day when you realise you're not where you need to be. And it highlights any gaps in the squad with time left to do something about it.
