This botched line up is exactly what previous managers would do. I thought Uni was different. Left sided CH playing on the right with a right sided CH on the bench. Attacking MF playing DM with a DM on the bench. Yawn. Why do they always pull shit like this.
Dunno if you've heard but we have a few players out with injuries

Botched line up? We've got 5 players out, including two centre halves.

Tielemans  in place of Kamara could be a disaster. Why has Ubai not been brave enough to start Iroegbunam?

Tim's not really a DM though.

QPR fan in the Mail in the week said he did well in the box to box aspect last season for them but his positional play and marking wasn't great.

Personally I'd just move Luiz back to DM. He played that role for most of his first three seasons here after all.

Not ideal given how brilliant he's developed into the 8 but ultimately it means SJM and Tielemans can be more advanced and get into shooting positions and link up with the forwards.

I'd be o.k with a point today (given we must win the next two after) but we need to be getting on the frontfoot in games again and winning them sooner or later.

He’s no risk taker is he
I’m a bit disappointed to be honest, I don’t rate Tielemans as much as others on here and would rather have seen Tim

Nobody wants Chambers starting.

They'll just have to do their best today even if it's a bit unbalanced at the back but maybe teams in history coped with a left footed CB on the right side I'm sure.

The more positive spin. Shows how far we have come in a couple of seasons. Horrendous injury problems, but we can still put out a team of pretty decent players, with a few more on the bench. OK, a couple are struggling for form, and 2 or 3 are not in their best positions, but that is a team that should beat Fulham.

Botched, lol.

One of those weird things where nobody worries about two right-footed centrebacks, but two left-footed? The horror!

6 out inc 3 centre halves unfortunately. We will still win.

Sensible selection. Tielemans won’t be a like for like for Kamara and I’d think he’ll play as the most forward midfielder with Luiz and McGinn in the middle.
Let’s hope we get through it with no more central defensive injuries as Chambers is the next one in. If people think Lenglet is slow then they haven’t seen Chambers.

I don't fancy Tielemans when we're up against it despite his obvious talent. Seems a bit of a sulker. I'd've give Tim a run but then given our injuries I was already talking about next season in the pub last night.

In the mixed zone. How do you tell the villa fans? They have a beer in their hands.

Tielemans certainly isn't a defensive midfielder. Hasn't got the legs, and gets overrun everywhere he plays that isn't the number 10 position.

Maybe (hopefully) the thinking with Tim is that he's played about 25minutes of first team football this season so putting him in from the start might have bene a bit much and instead he'll get some more time from the bench for a game or 2 before being in the mix for a start as we get into March.

Famous last words, but I’m feeling pretty confident even with the omissions.
