It has a standing terraced paddock at the front, did anyone stand there?

First game I can really remember was against Fulham in 1962. I stood with my dad at the front of the Witton Lane on the halfway line.  I would have been 6 or 7. John Sleeuwenhoek came over to me just as they were about to kick off and gave me a stick of Wrigleys Spearmint (unchewed). My mum and dad had always told me not to take gifts from strangers and I'd never had chewing gum, but my dad said it was OK. I couldn't understand why my dad kept shouting "keep them out" so anxiously when we were winning....I soon came to understand that feeling!

Brian Godfrey, a distinguished player and captain of Villa, played in that SF, I believe.

Godfrey played four games in Preston's FA Cup campaign, which led all the way to Wembley. However, after scoring in the sixth-round win over Oxford United, the Welshman lost his place to Alec Ashworth and was not selected for the final, one of the most thrilling ever staged at the old stadium, in which North End lost 3-2 to West Ham United. He was absent, too, for much of the springtime struggle for promotion, which ended in third place and narrow failure, and he was not happy about it.
