If Pau/Digne not fit to play 90 minutes, I would prefer they come on when we are 2-0 up!!

That West Ham result today puts us in a very strong position for EUFA Cup qualification at the very least. Today is almost a 'free hit' for the Champions League. Might ease the pressure a bit. Read somewhere this week, it is approx 75% certain that 5th spot will qualify for Champions League.

Come on Villa.

I trust Unai to get the very most from the squad that he can. If Pau needs more time to have the most impact over the season, so be it.

Would really like a win today but I don’t feel confident, and we’ll find out if the players do. They look like they’ve had the stuffing knocked out of them a bit and the ability to bounce back will decide if they can become great players.

What was the point in Torres being on the bench last week exactly?
no idea

I guess he’s not quite there due to his conditioning but could be used in a pinch, with a degree of risk that his rehab could be slowed or set back.

Am fully prepared to have the end of my weekend spoilt.
Please Villa, put in a performance against these lot, I’d take a 0-0 draw right now though.
Luckily I have plenty of chilled Sauvignon Blanc to numb the impending pain.

What was the point in Torres being on the bench last week exactly?

Maybe he is about 80% fit and they don't want to risk him. But an 80% fit Pau is better on the bench if somebody (God forbid!) gets injured than some rookie?

We tried that before, and then he was out for another two months. Just put them on the bench when they're actually fit enough to play. Absolute shoeing incoming.

I’d also guess he’s managing the current team’s morale as he knows he will need to use them again.

What’s worse for morale getting spanked or dropped. I don’t know.

I dont care if we scramble 3 points in the most controversial, sky analysed for 7 days, rat face crying to the referee, Alex Ferguson shaking his head, Man U manager sent to the stands etc, etc.

Just fucking win

Good to see JJ starting, if he can find his old form, will be a huge plus for us.

If we can't pummel these sugarbags 6 or 7 zip that's the next best option.

There's a rainbow behind the witton corner. No idea if that's a good thing, mind.

Would be great to see Ramsey rediscover his form, he’s scored in the previous two editions of this fixture, fingers firmly crossed for another today.

Just got home from South Africa and knackered after 22 hours travelling and delayed connecting flights, not sure I can stay awake for this one. Especially as I have an early flight out to Holland.

Think we will win this one, Emery will be wanting to atone for the last time we played them.
