Nobody came out of that half with any credit
Défense, midfield all terrible
Wise words and a bit more application may help, but not holding my breath

I know we have a fair few injured at the moment, but the main issue we're having now is that the summer signings haven't improved last year's squad. Torres aside, we're still mostly relying on the players we already had.

Tielemans on his game is an asset and there have been signs of that. What we do miss is JJ Ramsey's ability to drive up the pitch from midfield. We have no one else with that kind of ability in the middle and he's basically been a write-off this season for us.

We have Dougie but he's cruising again tonight.

We better win the European conference if we are throwing this game. It feels like fa cup and league cup just aren’t important anymore. Typical villa, get top four and get a nose bleed. This is painful and dickhead and twatface can fuck right off. As can Chelsea. Tinpot classless fuckfaces

Let’s see what changes he makes, tactically.

I know the midfield have been poor, but Cash was terrible for the first goal, and Carlos completely lost his man for the second.

Two very poor goals to concede.  Losing the ball on the touchline when they've got a 3 v 2 advantage in that area, and an unmarked striker on the 6-yard line.  The sort of mistakes that should be punished at the top level, and were.

Trying to remember when the last time was that we caught an opposing player offside. Can't.
Sheffield United six offsides on Saturday

Fair enough, didn't remember them, but have there been any against Newcastle or tonight? i.e. against halfway competent opposition.

Fortunately at the last minute I could not get to the match. I am really bad at watching on tv. Could someone please tell me  how many times Chelsea have actually won the ball as opposed to how many times we have simply given it away?

The only way we will get anything from this personnel changes at HT. I worry that it'll be the same 11 trotting out second half.
I would add zaniolo for a bit of muscle and take off tileimans, plus anyone on for kamara
I can't see substitutions alone making much difference. The shape has to change.

This is worse than anything Gerrard plated up .

It reminds me of the Everton Carabao game but far worse

Chelsea have obviously watched our game against Newcastle. It's an instruction video on how to beat us.

Both out of form as well. I think there’s a bit of complacency going on. The only changes he can make are Diaby and Ramsey and just have a go….and up the pace we’re playing at.

As a self harmer mate, just rewatch the first half. Same effect
