Tonight is the most important match in our recent history since the 2015 cup final. We must aim for total annihilation of Chelsea but a very very lucky 1-0 would do.

More important than the 2019 play off final or the 2020 away game at West Ham?

aftab would be well-employed in deciding on the text for hype-stickers on new products.

Let's be real though which Chelsea players are a threat or would we even have in our side.
Palmer and Silva are quality players as is Sterling on their day but I dnt think there's any player I would take ahead of Villa player this season.

Silva is really starting to show his legs are going - but still good but not good enough to get into our team.

Palmer is a tidy player but now way would he get in above Bailey / Ramsay at present.

Sterling - i am still laughing - unless the club want a Velociraptor impersonator for their Christmas fancy dress party - then its a no from me.

Gallagher - Could not wipe Mcginns boots

Nearly all of their other players are as recognisable as their names are to spell.

A BILLION £'s spent on that lot - my god

I'd take Palmer in a heartbeat.

Or the final game of the season last year, that got us into europe?

Can't criticise your enthusiasm though olaftab
Well I see a weakness in my stance BUT FA cup is the Holy Grail.

Enzo Fernandez is someone who plays better for Country than Club.
Or simply Chelsea ruined him.

All true just name checked those 3 as they have some talent but I see Chelsea as a team trying to find their way without a best 11 and pretty unsure unlike Villa under Emery.

I've just realised that, for those of us not able to go to VP later, we have to endure ITV.   Shudder.
it's on lots of foreign channels

Silva is 38. He is so far past it in PL terms its not true. Him trying to keep up with PL forwards is cruel to watch
The rest of them are so well paid for the next 10 years they wont even give out about Poch.

I'd take Palmer in a heartbeat.

"I don't give Chelsea a chance on Wednesday night, not even a chance. That can't be right. When was the last time I ever said that as a Chelsea fan? It was only a few years ago that the other team would have no chance against Chelsea. Everyone would be surprised if they won that game. There might be a bit of brilliance from Cole Palmer to win it but that will cover over the cracks."

Merson knows.

Literally scored other day. He's a legend and to be fair there aren't many near 40 year old defenders able to compete at his level these days.

I can see him taking over as coach. But if not he'll be someone I think would be a very astute coach.

I dunno, I was reading a couple of things this morning that suggested there's a lot of unrest among the players, with some of the more recent signings regretting signing such long term deals.

I think Poch could make something of them if he was given enough time, but it won't be with players they paid extortionate prices for. Everyone involved there needs to realise and accept what level the club is at now. Europa Conference qualification this season would be a success for them. They're not going to just click one day and be back challenging for the league and winning the Champions League. A slow and sustainable rebuild is what they need.

Don't sub them then. They've just had a break in Dubai - 2 games in a week won't kill them.
3 games in 8 days will though

What, like actual deaths?
It could.

I’m just looking forward to Chelsea falling apart due to their “clever” way around FFP.
