That game at VP was all about getting the first goal, which we did until VAR bizarrely said otherwise. Like someone else said, I think it would have been a similar to result had it been given.
And now we see the same incident being let go.
The ref gave the goal and VAR intervened, and it was no where near a clear and obvious mistake.
If Ramsey was just blocking the keeper off its fine, but i think they pulled him for holding his arm. Either way they went out of their way to rule the goal out and if it was Liverpool they wouldn't have even looked at it

I tell you what, Sheffield is not a happy place right now.

A combined 9 goals against at the weekend and resignation, particularly in the red half.

I actually started to feel sorry for them on Saturday; it was just so easy for us and if we'd really wanted to we could have scored more, but conserving energy, and resting some players ready for Chelsea was the right thing to do.

I suppose my feelings were clouded by the fact I live here and my other half is a Sheffield United supporter, but it was so embarrassingly easy and makes the December result all the more frustrating.

I bet it's not, two absolutely horrendous teams. Still, it's a great city with some lovely countryside not far away so they do at least have that.

On our way back to the car, a chap I'm assuming was a Wednesday fan asked us what the final score was. We told him 5-0, and so a Sheffield United fan by us piped up to correct us it was 5-1... we broke the news and watched him die a little bit more inside.

In the carpark, we got confused by the payment machine and didn't think it gave you back the little token. We were walking off to go when a Sheffield United fan called us back to give us the little coin thing so we could get out. Fair play to the man, friendly and helpful even in defeat.

People are generally good folks here, so I'm pleased you had a positive experience, though that last one being wiped off by VAR really was salt in the wounds stuff.

Let's face facts neither Blades or Owls have any Gloryhunter idiots.

Always found Sheffield people to be amiable and very friendly.

The people of Sheffield also gave us Def Leppard, so it's not all good.

And Arctic Monkeys.

They have given us Richard Hawley though, so they're forgiven.
