Sounds like a top bloke.

His initials are J.G. What could possibly go wrong?

Looks a great shot stopper. Anyone know what he's like in terms of playing out from the back?

I would not be surprised if he began against Ajax. It appears that he is being groomed for Martinez's role as goalkeeper be it next season or in a few.
If he played, I believe it may be a clearer sight of things to come in the summer.
It was an intriguing signing, and depending on how much money was required, Martinez, our most prominent player, could be sold?

Of course, Gauci may be raw or  he be ready, but signing him immediately in January is forward thinking because I  don't anticipate him to be loaned out next season

There's a situation with Raya and Ramsdale at Arsenal. Though Martinez is elite level and far higher, if Emi was sold due to budget concerns, it is interesting that Gauci was chosen to take over and if he starts Thursday that's a sign to me Martinez is going to be sold.

On the other hand, I would be very surprised if he started against Ajax.

I agree with Dave, he’ll sit on the bench for rest of the season barring injury/suspension for Emi…or a ridiculous 1st leg result meaning you can afford to give him his head in 2nd leg.  Guess he could get an u21 game or two if they want him to play
