What a shame, I've often wondered if match day revenue made up for all the times I've been in the week and been pretty much the only one there.

I'm doing the lottery tonight and if I win, I'm buying it.

I've been meaning to pop into the Barton's for some time, but never tend to get around to it as I drive to most games.  It's a shame to hear this as it's such an iconic pub.

I get that it's not in the nicest part of Brum, but what's it like in there on a non-match day? The food always seems amazing so I thought that would have been enough of a draw?

Has management changed recently? the food reviews over the last year aren't great and plenty of complaints that there is a lack of beer choice.

I was only in there last night before the game, real bad news if true.

Hopefully this is temporary! Terrible news if we lose it completely. Matchdays ruined!
Was packed last night pre-match - nothing seemed amiss.

If it were to be closed down by current owners, surely it would be prime for a takeover and conversion into a Desi Pub
