One particular thing we’ve done badly is crossing from the full backs. We’ve had about 3 chances  from the left and two from the right from within the box, and haven’t created much with any of them

We don't play the kind of football to get back into this. We play the kind of football that's perfect for the opposition when they're ahead. Slow and energyless infront of them.

If the same team comes out after half time we won't be scoring a goal tonight and will probably concede more.

Ramsey for Tielemans and Bailey for Diaby from the off.  And Kamara needs to be careful too - this ref won't be shy with the red cards.

I just don’t see it improving unless we find a way to relax. We look wound so tight that the players don’t look free mentally. And this is the most disjointed we have looked in ages.

Let's be honest, we're clearly not as good a team as we thought we were.

It has taken the absence of one player - Torres - to destroy the way we try to play, and we don't have any other way of playing.

We're just not that good.

A £50m forward shouldn't be falling off this badly. A striker who got the faith in him that Watkins has shouldn't be falling off this badly. Moreno, Ramsey, McGinn in fact have been far below levels we know they can reach. It's not just the absence of Torres - there's a malaise at the same time as other teams are better tactically against us than before. Unai has questions to answer here.

But this game, idk. I just hate Newcastle, or 'Newcastle'. They embody everything wrong not just with football, but with modern life. And they lead through two set-pieces, one of which involved more ricochets than a trick shot in snooker. The evil have both power and luck, and their bootlickers lap it up like milk. Losing like this to Fulham would've just been normal annoying sport sadness; to this lot, literally the worst club on earth, just makes me want to burn things.

Can someone tell me why they flagged on that move that didnt even look offside??

Surely you let the move play out and then see if ut was off like every single fucking time that's happened against us all season ?

It was offside.

Was it though?

It looked to close to see with the naked eye at that speed which is why the flag shouldn't be raised.

No real striking power, injuries have bought us undone but the lack of a midfield is really hurting us. Torres is a huge miss but apart from McGinn the rest look very ordinary.

Other than Torres that’s our first choice team.

It’s not the midfield

I’m not sure why he started Moussa he looks more Derby than Diaby at the moment.

He need to be taken out of the spotlight and be brought on at the right times to build his confidence back up, he has the ability.

If I was Bailey, I’d be thinking WTF.

Hoping the second half is better, it won’t be worse. Will it?!

Like Ollie but if he isn’t doing anything we’ve no real alternative. Feeling quite glum for the second half.

Defensive line all over the place again and it's cost us. Lenglet has been awful. Really think Emery got this wrong tactically with two up top (who might aswell have stated at home). With McGinn drifting Cash is being isolated throughout.

Some tidy play in midfield at times with Luiz and McGinn but no cutting edge. Awful miss from McGinn at end there.
