Very notiocable that Rogers didn't do his "cold" celebration. Is that because Palmer has issued a Cease and Desist letter?

He did, at least once.

You are correct. On rewatch he did it just after the freekick and then stops straight away and goes back to arms wide like he did for the first one.

So that means he started doing the usual, but then thought better of it and did cease and desist?

30 seconds into the game and he goes all FIFA special moves.
Commentators didn't even mention it.
What a player.

Yes that was a fantastic piece of skill.

The bit at the death when he held off half the Leeds team and won the free kick wasn't bad either.

Looks like he beat 4 players.

But in fact, it was just 2.

It's just that he beat them both twice!

Three. If we are not counting the initial steal, he beats No19, then No3, then 19 again and finally the initial guy he stole the ball off as No3 decided he wasn't having any of that again.

Absolutely. Rogers needs to run around a bit more to be at that level  ;)

I was having this exact conversation last weekend, comparing the two (well, Jack when he was with us, not Jack now).  Where we ended up was that, based on pure footwork and dribbling ability, there isn't much between them at all.  However, the big difference appears (to us at least) that Jack was always happy taking a free kick and retaining possession for the team, whereas when Morgan picks up a head of steam he seems much happier riding the contact that might win a free-kick, in order to keep the move going, even if that means it looks like he loses the ball more often than Jack did.

We concluded that Jack's ability to win free kicks was invaluable for a team that was often under pressure, whereas Morgan's is more valuable for a team higher up the table, and which often has much more possession.

We're both also wrong about a lot of other things, and this might just be another in a long line...

They're very different players, Rogers is quicker and more direct whereas Grealish was brilliant at moving players out of position and creating space, which is a massively underrated skill.

Both of them need a little more end product at times though.
