Three away clean sheets in potentially tough games is not to be sniffed at considering we haven’t been able to field our first choice defence. We really need Torres back as the base of our playing out from the back.

I know we need more wins in the league and could do without the replay, but there’s still something satisfying about goal-less away draws.

As an aside, the replay guarantees a million home spectators this season for the first time since the seventies.

Much the better side 2nd half. Looked far more menacing. We created almost everything they had with some daft/sloppy play at the back.

Not quite sure why people are so quick to mention Diaby yet appear silent on Watkins? Large chunks of the first half involved giving it away in our own third or hammering long balls to give away in the air up top as it wouldn't stick. It wasn't until the 2nd half that our full backs pinned them back and really stretched things that we looked more likely. Shame not to have won, nice to still be in it.

Agreed thought Ollie wasn’t great for a good chunk. It was noticeable we improved was he started being involved more.

That's a bit chicken and egg though, did we improve because he was involved or was he involved because we improved?

Personally I think the latter because of the whole "Emery told me to stay in position" thing, that's exactly what he was doing.

I thought Watkins was pretty poor , ran about like a bull in a china shop largely , got that one nice effort away second half but other than that ... ?

Week beginning the fifth of feb, but probably not Tuesday as Chelsea are playing the Sunday before.

Got home around 12:20am - Enjoyable evening tbf.

Villa fans made it sound like we were the home team, draw probably a fair result - Martinez MotM by a mile. Not his biggest fan, but Cash was MUCH improved last night, and long may it continue.

Got a feeling we're in for the Leon Bailey show on Tuesday night!  UTV!
