Ref was shocking, how he booked Tielemans then didn’t show a card to any Chelsea player after was unbelievable.
Emi made some good saves, thought McGinn and Kamara had good games and Doug grew into it.
Marvellous support and I quite liked that end where we were housed with the barriers in front of the seats.

Much the better side 2nd half. Looked far more menacing. We created almost everything they had with some daft/sloppy play at the back.

Not quite sure why people are so quick to mention Diaby yet appear silent on Watkins? Large chunks of the first half involved giving it away in our own third or hammering long balls to give away in the air up top as it wouldn't stick. It wasn't until the 2nd half that our full backs pinned them back and really stretched things that we looked more likely. Shame not to have won, nice to still be in it.

Would have taken the draw before KO so pleased we managed it even though we could have won it. Chelsea are getting their act together, I thought Sterling gave Cash a tough time first half, nutmegging him twice in the space of 5 minutes must have been irking. He improved massively 2nd half like the whole team. We finished much the stronger outfit. Overall Chelsea’s best opportunities came from us fucking up at the back, Lenglet and Emi being culpable even though both played well. Only my 2nd away this season, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the local pubs near the ground were good before and after. I wasn’t even drinking.

Konsa is becoming such an accomplished player, he oozes class.

Apart from Martinez, Konsa and mostly Kamara, we were poor. They played midweek. We’ve had a longer off. Poor considering.

Many at one time thought Konsa was a weak link in defence, he is probably the most improved player at the club, Diaby will come good.

I was about 20 yards to your right, was trying to catch your eye Bren.

Not much more to say, game of two halves, we’ll beat them at home I feel. Thought McGinn should of scored from a lovely ball from Zaniolo. Thought Tielemans was rusty and the two forwards were bossed for large parts of the game. Strange Bailey only getting 3 minutes, but guess he’ll start on Tuesday. We badly miss Torres. Saying all that, we did boss most of the second half.
Great support down there and great view from upper Shed.

I thought we looked far more balanced with Konsa back in his best position at the centre of defence, and Cash at right back. Need to continue this against Newcastle.

One thing I forgot to mention after the game, our support were absolutely outstanding. They were all you could hear.

Absolutely, we are desperate Cash / Konsa / Torres / Moreno or Digne as our back four again.  Lenglet thinks he is a better footballer than he is, how many balls did he lose last night, forgetting the obv cock up that they should have scored off he must have given 4/5 hospital passes to Kamara / Luiz…if he can’t pick out a team mate then make sure you don’t give it away 25 yards from goal.

Well we’ll see, that last 20 mins was much more like it.

We will beat Newcastle with that last 20, certainly Sheffield United so I'm holding fire on this seemingly emerging view we're just going to collapse in last three months.

I thought Konsa was brilliant once more. He's got that self assurance any top CB needs and I love the way he's risen as a quiet leader to replace Mings. Hopefully we can get Pau back in a few weeks and keep Kons central as those two and Emi going into GOD mode should be enough to get us over the line for CL.

At one point in the second half, Konsa even did a backheel mid-air volley to clear the ball away. McGrathesque.

I hope Torres and Digne are available again soon, but to be fair we have not conceded a goal now for almost 5 hours.

Agreed thought Ollie wasn’t great for a good chunk. It was noticeable we improved was he started being involved more.

Decent game overall for a 0-0 . Far more watchable than the last round

A few dreadfully sloppy passes at the back to gift them chances - get rid of those and sharpen up a bit up top and we win that quite comfortably.
