Maybe I’m in a bad mood but I felt pretty glum after that press conference. Players still injured, needing really to sell, not much optimism about quality additions coming in who can contribute immediately.

where is the press conference?

Nothing on YT

Tanswell reports the key points as they're said on Twitter.

Part of it is the obvious stuff that he covered. But we have also seen Man City and Arsenal go back above us with good displays. Especially Arsenal. And Liverpool look strongest of the bunch right now. And Spurs have added players and getting players like Maddison back from injury. I want to be optimistic but we just seem so thin in the squad. And all this comes on the back of some stuttering and not overly convincing displays prior to the break.

Whatever happens, I hope we give Duran 30 seconds at the end, just to cup tie him in case he moves to Chelsea.

Vindictive, petty & childish?

Abso-fuckin-lutely!

Chelsea & all they stand for can go jump in a lake..

Surely he is already after playing against Boro.

You are of course, absolutely correct & I let my blind hatred of Chelsea cloud my ability to do some basic research, lol...

never, ever let that stop you Pablo.

I wouldn’t worry, Maddison will be injured again soon enough.

Yeah I feel similar - fingers crossed big displays and wins in the next two games can boost us back up. Clearly we’re doing fantastically well, but it hasn’t been a great spell in terms of injuries and we don’t appear to be able to strengthen.

We have been hit hard with injuries this season. I don't understand why it doesn't get attention. Mings, Buendia were huge losses and then Moreo and Ramsey missed about a third of the season. Digne, Youri and Torres then getting injured at a key moment.

Seven players there who would walk into most match day squads in the league.

That sub bench (why is it still called a bench) is going to be a tad weak tomorrow, especially with now Duran and possibly Donk not on it.

Right! If that's the way you want it -- Cardinal! Poke her with the soft cushions!

Emi

Cash
Konsa
Lenglet
Moreno

McGinn
Luiz
Kamara
Tielemans

Bailey
Watkins

Subs - Olsen, KKH, Carlos, Tim, Zaniolo, Diaby, ???

The 6 out with injuries that we have is concerning.

Anyway that first XI is strong. 2 1 to us.

I feel quite flat about this - lack of strengthening the squad (understand the reasons), key injuries running on, and some pretty average performances of late (albeit results have been ok) have just punctured my belief a bit. It would be lovely though if we put together a really strong performance and really kick start again.

I'm a bit more focused on Tuesday BUT it would be nice to dump these Charlatans out on their own patch
