I'd bring Tielemans on for Diaby, the latter has hardly been involved at all.
agreed

Seems very unlikely tielemans Will play more than 15-20 mins today. More likely to see zaniolo I'd have thought. We miss ramsey

It looks like a game between 2 lower league teams. We have rarely shown any style or class. We are allowing it to develop into the sort of game Everton want, scrappy.

I thought we had a decent period halfway through where we kept the ball well and looked threatening.  Just shown the replay of the disallowed goal and it still isn't exactly able to freeze it when the ball is played, which could have made the difference.

Bailey and Diaby in the crane team doesn't really work in games like this.  Would consider Tielemans coming on for one of them soon.

Completely agree. Developing into the usual bollocks Dyche loves his teams to play, aided and abetted by a piss poor referee.

Disagree. We look far more composed on the ball notwithstanding the odd brainfart. We had them pinned-in for a good chunk of that half.

Half time. Dodgy opening 10 and last 10, totally in control inbetween. Which is decent as SJM, Diaby and Bailey have been very quiet.

McGinn has given the ball away a ridiculous amount of times. Bailey looks sharp I think.

Think Watkins and Luiz have been outstanding. Moreno very good. Loved the way after their strong start our midfield two took charge. You can hear how nervy the crowd were getting. Lenglet has been very good too.

Martinez bailed out Carlos big time with that save at the end. He lost his bearings completely.

I'd keep a bit more faith in Diaby, just think there is space there that can be exploited. Tielemans hasnt played in weeks so 30 mins likely to be the max he can do today.

💯, he's not that comfortable on ball at right back. Lost it badly once and we were fortunate to get away with it.

The present two don't inspire a lot of confidence.

Boring

Come on Villa second half!

Not a word I'd use to describe that half. Erratic, frustrating, maybe...

I have a bad feeling we’ll lose this 1-0. We often concede a soft one. Come on Villa be incisive.

Carlos gets caught badly there

Trying to play offside when the opponent is in their own half isn't advisable really

Absolutely ridiculous

To be fair, we've missed Ramsey even when he's been on the pitch of late.

We've made them chase quite a lot in that first half.  And there have been numerous times they've pressed us high and we've passed it around them.  That's going to take it's toll in their legs as the game comes toward the end.  I suspect we'll finish strongly, and maybe a couple of fresh legs off the bench will be the thing we need to break the deadlock.

Very disappointed for Moreno, an excellent finish.  I think Bailey was a bit lazy getting out, which is poor from him.

Moreno seems to be getting 1v1 with Coleman quite a bit, I'm surprised he hasn't knocked it past him and tried to run around him yet.
