Needed a slightly better touch there, surprised the ref didn't gift Tarkowski a free kick.

Half time. Dodgy opening 10 and last 10, totally in control inbetween. Which is decent as SJM, Diaby and Bailey have been very quiet.

Hopefully it will be the same like last year, pretty tight first half with Everton shading it and then we step things up from the hour mark.

It looks like a game between 2 lower league teams. We have rarely shown any style or class. We are allowing it to develop into the sort of game Everton want, scrappy.

Both teams doing the off the ball stuff well, yet always look genuinely surprised when they actually get the fucking thing.

So if Bailey was considered to be offside, why did they spend so much time looking at the frame that showed Moreno's shot at goal?

You get those games at Goodison, always feels tight matches with them playing pretty narrow so not much space to open things up and in their present situation they'll want to make the game as scrappy as possible.

We had similar at Brentford and won that so no reason why we can't do the same this time.

Over 70% possession  and by far the better team fails to gain an advantage in the first half so second half a scrappy 1-0 for the other team sounds right.

Well we should be 1-0 up. Unfortunate.

In control most of the half. Its nice having the best player in the world at his position.

When SJM plays well, we do. He isn't but we're not too bad. The final ball isn't really happening for us. Step it up a bit ad we should have enough.
