One of the Bournemouth Lions did a spreadsheet of flights depending on who Villa got. Booked 4 flights in 5 minutes of the draw being made

:)  I'll give the away leg a miss now though.

For those who waited “while they checked with their mate/missus” wasn’t that a conversation which could have been had preemptively?

"Shall we book plane tickets to Amsterdam in case we draw them in the next round"?  Those sort of conversations?
sure somebody in here had done a spreadsheet with all the permutations and travel options for each scenario. Hopefully a story with a happy ending.

It was indeed, return flights booked MAN to AMS by 12:25 for £100.

That doesn't really seem on the way

For those who are going to every away, are you disappointed to go back to NLD or pleased to revisit some old haunts from last time?

Not knocking it, just wondered if it was a bit soon to go back compared to different, perhaps more exotic, options

I was hoping for Geneva or Zagreb but Amsterdam will have to do. Whilst I’d like to make a nice trip of some of these Euro aways the cost of travel and hotels means I’m pretty much doing a here for a few beers and food beforehand then the football and back early on the Friday so not able to really soak up the culture as much as I’d like. Maybe next year when I’m retired and have more time.

So went there in December, also booked there for a long weekend in early April so this is going mean I have been there more often than centre of Brum in the last 6 months. Yes would have preferred Haifa but only if the game was in Haifa.

There was a good few thousand Villa in Amsterdam last time, despite the modest Alkmaar allocation. Every English accent you heard for a few days was a Brummie one. You'd expect a lot to go over again regardless of tickets.

That maybe me and 20 others that are going over. I may get a ticket depending on the allocation but I’d go anyway. I know there are many that have said they are going without a ticket. Id say a lot more than went to AZ from what I hear.
