I don't know if I should post this onto the technical forum, but when I get to the scanner at the ground, do I have to unlock my phone and open Apple Wallet or does any automatic magic happen?

It depends on your phone. Some you can tap the side button a couple of time and it goes into wallet and you can select your ticket. Others I think tapping the home button a couple of times can do it.

Not sure if that's a feature that's on automatically or if you have to enable it.

Home game on sale to member at 5pm, so hopefully will be able to get a ticket, although I'm unlikely to be able to go as the night before my step-daughter's wedding in Surrey.  But I'll still try and get one #justsaying

I use Google, which will get angry if you have multiple tickets all with the NFC turned on, season ticket included. I've uploaded mine now, but turned its individual NFC ("hold near terminal to use" toggle in its ⋮ menu) off so as I can use my season ticket on Saturday. It works the same as paying for something, I don't need to have the app open or the ticket displayed, just NFC turned on and my phone unlocked.

Other phones may vary, obvs.
