Up until the points deduction I'd have liked them to stay up. however, the self-pitying whining about the points deduction being corruption from one of my employees is so grating I want them to get relegated now.

They broke the rules, and are damn lucky the deduction didn't happen in any of the seasons they broke them, or else they would be down already.

Everton fans are more annoying than Liverpool fans (actual scouse ones), a few years in the Championship will do them good.

5-0 to the Villa, Bailey x3, Zaniolo and Moreno.
all well and good saying that but other clubs have broke the rules and are getting away with it and winning trebles etc

Well, one has for sure if you believe the 115 charges, yes, but not sure why that makes Everton getting done for it wrong in any way.

They pretty transparently fiddled it.

Comes down to a £10m loan ear marked for the new stadium that took place before Planning Permission had been granted, but after an indication of approval had been given. Rules be rules and all that.

The Man City thing needs to come to a head, but equally, time and care is needed to make sure a significant chunk of the charges are going to stick so they can be punished so hard their ancestors feel it. Miss once and you won't get them again.

I would also assume Everton getting done will make it harder for the FA to ignore Man City for much longer.

Whataboutery innit.....the whining from Everton must be unbearable for clubs down the leagues who have been hit with points deductions.

I thought they played quite well v Man City over Xmas. Pickford had a mare but DCL missed a great chance to equalise in the second half at a critical time. They were very physical and competitive. Man City just had a bit more class on ball with likes of Grealish, Foden and Silva. Harrison was decent and Garner has definitely improved this season.

Up until the 2000's we seemed to get on reasonably well with Everton fans with mutual respect, then something changed and they started bleating about us. All the Evertonians I know are always pretty complimentary so just keyboard warriors I suppose

They're a curious mix, a proud club with a great history but also a massive chip on their shoulders from living in their neighbours shadow for decades.

Whiniest set of fans on the planet. Expect hight pitched screeching for every decision, especially when we're ahead. After a few have correctly gone against them it will get so high pitched that only dogs will be able to hear it.

Goodison is a proper ground. Shame this will be the final time we play there

Most played fixture in football and the club we are most similar too in terms of size, history and stature . Can't get the hate for Everton
Nor me.  I think there's a lot of similarities between us and always see them as a 'proper club.'  They're undoubtedly the opposing club I like most in the PL.
What are the similarities between us and them you see??

To me it's that most records we didn't hold (goals, points etc) they did. We've also both had times when we were the best team in the country but overall neither of us have really punched our weight.

Everton are probably the club most like us historically. That said they seem to have a chip on their shoulder about us, or certainly their online support do. Most i've met in real life have been decent sorts.
