Is it my imagination or did it take a second little nick off Niccolo? Maybe it was just the spin on it that gave it that illusion

We are that stronger club.
Get a grip!

In the nicest possible way, of course.

Of what exactly?

I always wonder when people say this to me...

I just don't like the narratives created by the media.

That’s fair; I don’t like them, either.
It’s why I responded in the way I did, to your post.

I read the last line as a complaint about how clubs outside ‘The Big Six’ are commented about, by professional commentators and pundits.

I agree, and thought your post was accurate about the past but I disagreed with your complaining about the narrative around losing when we are now in a far better position. Hence, GAG! 😃
That’s it, PP; up the Villa!

Tbh, it was purely about media narratives & their inconsistencies.

The last sentence was more of a throwaway comment about it.

But I appreciate that tone & context are often lost in text form. And I do understand that sometimes my posts come across as more aggressive than I intend them. Thats down to my poor communication skills, lol.

I just have a sarcastic & dry sense of humour & that is not always easy to recognise in text.

Up the Villa! 👍

We deserved to win on the balance of play, no doubt.
I was struck by a moment early in the game when the ball went back to Emi, and he just stood on it and waited for their press, which never came. A similar thing happened against Burnley.
In theory, he could have waited for five minutes, and then we could have knocked it around at the back for another five minutes, and on and on.

A hard watch but we've reached the promised land. 4th round nirvana.
Smells like team spirit, in a manner of speaking!

Just hope we get a home draw, but it would be so Villa to have our first home defeat of this season in the FA Cup, and go out!

That ref is even more arrogant than Mike Dean & that takes some going. An absolute first class arsehole & he's like that every time he refs.

Anyway, we did enough without really being threatened. Home draw next please.against someone shite.

Honestly got away with that a bit. Should absolutely be creating more than that.

Wouldn't that have been the Everton League cup game?

Agree we should have created more but only one team was ever going to win that.

Really? I thought we were well worth the win. We hit the bar, post and had a blatant penalty ignored.  Plus about 5 half chances that on another day would go in.  We won comfortably I thought.

Half chances though, and yes that header is a couple of centimetres more accurate and it's a different story, but for all our dominance their sitting in did that does to us quite a lot of the time. We desperately need to find ways of unlocking deep defences.

I'm not sure I agree with the comments about having to work hard, we had to be patient but for me we never really got out of first gear.
