The third goal was a complete fluke.

I love his effort, and he’s had a tough gig covering different positions. But it was noticeable how much the structure of the midfield didn’t work with him today. He just isn’t good enough on the ball at his current level.

Yep, he showed today why he's a squad player. you cant fault his effort but just not got what you need for a midfield two in an Emery team.

FFP sacrifice in the Summer please. He's not very good, I keep having to say that.

I only saw him pass the ball backwards, not sure why Emery put him in.

Yep, I'm not sure what the score is with him playing as it seems really obvious. He's a complete passenger. Seems a nice lad and hope he gets a decent move, but he isn't good enough for Villa.

Luiz did approx 10x more in a tenth of the time.

Hopefully just putting him in the shop window.

Solid but not top 6 material.

You don’t have to.

Decent cameos off the bench but lost in all his PL starts in midfield. Game passed him by yet again.

He’s not good enough for a CL chasing squad but given our restrictive financial predicament we have to use him on occasion. Not really his fault he’s a decent player and not much more.

In today’s market it’s not an unreasonable number. Bogarde is a serviceable PL midfielder and has versatility in other positions. For a club in the mid to lower echelons he’ll be just fine. He’s also only 22.
