Either way, it was his best performance for us at RB, somewhere I usually don't like him playing.

I think we missed him in Midfield Wednesday

Agreed, but Garcia can't keep himself fit and Cash was inevitably going to have a spell out.  Maybe Lindelof can play there tomorrow.

Players like Bogarde who can do a good job across a number of positions are massively undervalued, particularly if you're hamstrung by PSR or whatever it is meaning you can't just stock up on 2 top quality players for every position.

Unai always speaks of him highly, think he's usurped Pow as being teacher's pet.

Might have to if he wants Onana to have a rest

Unai praising him yet again in today's presser - sounds like he'll be right back again to me though.

We need Cash back. He’s a young player trying to cover a lot of positions - so I sympathise - but the header back centrally and then the pass at the end are really bad errors. If he’s going to have a future here he is going to have to get better on the ball.

Bogarde isn’t a RB. Neither is Lindelof or Konsa. As we also found out last season with Disasi. Emery is on par with MON in having a nightmare at RB when our best one is out. That we haven’t found a solid back up after this length of time is very poor indeed.

I wanted us to get Warker-Peters in the summer as cover for both fullbacks. He'd have been very useful.

Harsh enough blaming his header for the second. Sure he can do better but given we had given up the wide areas we should have had enough bodies in middle to stop that shot. Third was a crazy pass alright. Barnes has caused us lots of problems before and I thought Bogarde did well on him. RB isn't his position but much better tonight than v Brentford for example.

You can’t head it back centrally like that, when you’re under no pressure. Digne is at fault for there ever being a chance to cross, but it’s a really poor header. It’s a wonder strike, but he does have the chance if Bogarde does what is pretty simple to do.

He did some good things but shows a lapse of concentration too often.
Unless he sorts this out he is destined to mediocrity.

His pass was crap but it’s part of the perils of trying to keep possession and build from the back, which all of them are instructed to do 95/100. Either one of the three players who were hemmed in in that corner could have hoofed it up, non of them did.

It's the first costly error I recall him making.  We stand by Mings, Konza et al when it happens to them so we should give the kid a chance.  He's less an RB than a CDM, but he's worth his weight in gold as part of this squad still under PSR pressure.

He made two errors here and it’s not about binning him off. I sympathise with him having to learn a variety of roles, but the reality is unless his ability on the ball improves significantly there’s no role he’ll be good enough for us.

I think his best chance is as a defensive midfielder, but his passing is going to have to be much better. He works hard though and doesn’t hide, so hopefully it’ll come,
