He'll definitely be the next SCR/FFP cash cow. All profit and losing him doesn't affect the first team.

Wonder how much he'd fetch... £22.22m ?

I've said it before, he is great defensively and a real physical presence, but he struggles with the ball at his feet. Sadly, that is not going to be good enough for where we are heading.

Be amazed if he's here next season. £25m or so potentially towards our latest UEFA cartel fix I'm sure.

I said to my son during yesterday's game: I absolutely love the idea of Bogarde being a first-pick for our team but he is too passive - he doesn't seem able to drive the game when we need to take it to the oppo. That said, there are games where we may want to sit back and absorb the opposition's efforts; he's fine there.
Like most players, he's a squad player but if we could squeeze a decent price for him, he'll be gone.

Good player, still improving. I’m sure this spell of playing regularly, will see him step up.

I think he'll be fine, he's struggled where the opposition pack the middle to stop us playing through them centrally but the more he plays, the better he will get. I think we will have to sell one of the other holding players and he will step in and play more.

Not stating it is a reason for keeping him, but as he is "home-grown" he currently doesn't take up a slot in our Euros as he is on list B and next year, although he jumps to A he also doesn't take up a slot and gives us 22 players on A list compared to the 21 we can currently field.

I really like the lad and he's a great option to have for rotation, but he offers next to nothing when we need to progress the ball and come up with tricksy little attacking phases. He just has next to no vision for intriguing forward passes or runs.

Edit: Not saying he can never progress to a better attacking option, of course. He's had a lot thrown at him and is covering arguably the most difficult position on the pitch. It'll take time, if it happens at all.
