He'll be sold in the Summer if we can get £10m+ for him pure profit on the books. That's my prediction. He's way too limited on the ball for an Emery centre mid.

He has only started about five league games, seems a bit harsh. Unai clearly doesn't consider him that limited, he is the only academy player he has trusted with minutes.

Was doing well before Christmas, but then I thought he was poor against Spurs in the Cup and then again today.  This was a massive chance for him and he didn't take it.

Thought he was fine today.

As someone else says, he's not at Bouba/Onana's level, but that's not a scoop.

In any event, he played ok - our problem areas were elsewhere.

A centre midfield of Tielemans and Bogarde is going to be a problem.

Give it a rest. This is your fourth post today criticising Bogarde.

First time I’ve seen him be below his usual standard.  Gave the ball away a couple of times but no worse than anyone else.

I thought he was ok.  Hes 22, and hasnt done too much wrong.  Today, experienced internationals couldnt string two passes together.

Newcastle will be tough - because they have such a strong (in every sense) midfield, but I think in most games he'll be fine.  Hopefully we get one of the other back soon.

He was fine today, he was better than others and didn’t cost us the game. We were under par on the offensive and made two mistakes to lead to the goal. With the injury to SJM and the chances we missed and the non sending off, it seems to me it was one of those days.

I think there's more to come from him. He gets his pocket picked in possession more than the other midfielders but they are more experienced and we play to taunt the press from the opponents so it's something that he's clearly been told to keep doing as that's how he'll learn.

Curious to see whether he has ability to hit the box and work the keeper or play through balls. He's learning from really good teammates in midfield and we're gonna need him if Ginny joins Bouba and Onana on the sidelines.

He got absoluely no help from his vastly more experienced partner in Tielemans who had a very poor game for him!

Tielemans has many many positive attributes, but he needs someone to do his running and tackling. SJM going off just made that problem even bigger.

It’s unfair to expect Bogarde to boss CM at this stage in his development. The experience will hopefully highlight where he needs to improve.

There's a lot of unfair criticism kicking about elsewhere with regards his performance yesterday, some of it justified I suppose.

Regardless, if all our bench options where as talented, quick to learn and had as much utility as this lad, I'd say fair game.

Obviously there's some areas for improvement, but considering he had to master the midfield almost entirely solo yesterday I think he did remarkably well. Him and Hemmings where definitely the brighter takeaways for me.

Bogarde needs Kamara or Onana to look after him. Tielemans is always better at 10 than 8 in our midfield. He rarely has a poor game, but I think he was my biggest disappointment yesterday. Bogarde was only starting his what, 6th or 7th actual start in centre mid for us, I can forgive him. Youri needed to boss the game, but didn’t.

Everton had quite an inexperienced midfield out too. Up in Newcastle Guimares and Tonali could run all over our two, granted Newcastle fans not all that happy with Tonali in particular of late.

I’ve never been as convinced about Bogarde’s long term future in the team as others have been on here

but if we are making snap judgments I like the look of Hemming’s, looks comfortable on the ball doesn’t hide has a bit of footballing technique and doesn’t always play the easy ball
