Another game, another position, another decent showing. Got caught out for the goal, (I think the period of possession leading up to it came from his wayward pass forward as well), but I've seen experienced defenders caught out with those cut back, inswinging crosses as well, especially if accurate and the attacker makes the perfect run.

Did well when.he came on today.  Not sure what his best position is, but he is proving useful.this season.

Top stuff from the young 'un tonight.  To come on out of position and to look that comfortable speaks volumes ffor his growing confidence.  The first time I saw him this season, playing at RB, he looked a rabbit in the headlights.

Pace, control (both of the ball and in his challenges), ability to pick a pass and showed some strength, too.
Bet his dad was proud tonight.

He's on the way to becoming a very important cog in the team. Excellent for the majority of the game and his versatility and no doubt willingness to sit on the bench and not complain will make him a real asset long term.

He looks better through the middle than he does at right back.

That sounds like it might be a criticism, but it isn't. He just looks more comfortable there.

Agreed, though to me his best position is in front of the back line.

In all honesty, I hope he's not satisfied on the bench and has designs on getting in the first team and displacing one of the more established players when his chance comes.  He's 21 now, so not an especially young kid anymore in football terns and that's the kind of attitude he needs really.

Yep, have to agree. He seems more of a Kamara backup than anything.

And that is high praise, not criticism.

Did really well again last night, considering he's a DM playing in defence with a DM, and a new RB.

Really useful squad addition.

A few games at DCM would be nice. Meant to be his best position and it’d be interesting to see how he compares with Onana.

I really liked his composure and decision-making last night. He looks very mature and - against an insipid Spuds attack - dealt with everything pretty well.
I think if Solanke had been playing last night, both Bogarde and Kamara might have had a more difficult evening, just for the physical challenge.

I'd add that he was guilty of ballwatching a couple of times; including the Spuds goal.

He grew into it last night and looked comfortable on the ball. Hopefully Mings is back soon but he’s proven he belongs at this level.
