I don't really see the problem with that method. Players like Grealish or Ramsey don't come along every year, and it's better to be able to turn a profit from out academy than just have a bunch of kids disappear to lower leagues once we release them. If any of them are good enough they'll show it and get their chance.
Unai thinks he's good enough, and as a manager he has just about enough credit in the bank that i'll go with his judgement.
Hes only 20. Ugo had good and bad moments in his first few years before really becoming consistent about 1995 onwards.
