I think he might.

He played well against decent level opposition in pre season.

We need cover & competition at CB, RB & CDM & he covers all of those positions with pace, technical ability & physicality.

Didn't a local journalist mention that he will be sticking around too? Tanswell?

Started well and faded, but definite promise.

You must have watched a completely different game to me.

I think he looked way out of his depth and I'm seriously worried about our RB situation.

Steady and shaky in equal measure today. Understandable given his age lack of experience.

I think young Humphrey will be a hero in seasons to come.

He dove into a couple of tackles but never lost confidence in himself. He didn’t hide or drop off, which is good to see. I thought his first half was decent enough and he struggled later into the second half.. naturally.

Agreed. I thought it was a strange decision to play him at right back as his strength is his coolness in central defence. Maybe Unai wanted to test him by throwing him in the deep end, no idea. Delighted for him to make his debut, we need to bring the youngsters through so that we can go out and spend on the very top players.

Jeez.

Jeez what? You thought he played well and you think we are fine at RB?

He isn't a RB for a start and that would explain.both why he didn't play well and why I'm concerned about that position.

He was our worst player today, which is no surprise given where he played.

He's capable at both right back and centre back. Thought he did well for 60 minutes then needed taking off. Emery was a few minutes late on that one. A better option than moving Konsa to right back, although I'm not saying there won't be occasions where that's the case.

Nedeljkovic did well when he came on.

For a 20 year old making his first appearance above the 3rd division he was ok.
