The problem with Bogarde is where to play him.Big and strong enough to play centre-back; quick enough to play full-back; skilful enough to play it out in the Bouba position.

We do have a role as Kamara's understudy available. Dendoncker will go (probably in the summer) and Iroegbunam hasn't been fancied enough to get many opportunities.
Bogarde's probably a better fit for that role though. Iroegbunam seems more of a box-to-box type whereas Bogarde being able to play at centre back or midfield means he'll be able to drop into the back 3 when we're in possession like how Kamara has done.

They are very similar sorts of players.Good close control, good passers of the ball, good at breaking up play & tackling, but most importantly for their position, can drive forward with the ball at their feet & take the ball from defence to attack.I think Bogarde could do that too, but he has mostly been used as a "destroyer" in Joey Bartons Bristol Rovers. I think he could become a deep laying playmaker if he were to play in a team that passes the ball a lot.Like Villa, for example...
Where Tim most reminds me of Kamara is the whole 'telescopic leg' thing where they just seem to be able to extend a foot out and knock the ball away when it looks like they've been 'beaten'. It's a pretty rare skill and is a big part of why Kamara is so effective at breaking up play.
What squad number is Bogarde?

Sorry, for the kids, the report says he played against Sutton the other night and I was interested in which one he was?
