Stats compared to previous decent seasons
« on: December 22, 2023, 10:58:39 PM »
1 Defeat in 14, 12 wins and 39 points. That's really top top stuff.
It took us a bit longer to get going in previous years. I was surprised in comparison to the 1993 and 1996 sides.

I'm going from my era of supporting.

In 1989-90 we had 9 wins and 31 points after 18 games. P 18 W 9 D 4 L 5  31 pts

In 1992-1993 (we finished 2nd) it took 28 games to reach 38 points and we'd still only won 10 games at that point.
P 18 W 8 D 7 L 3  31 pts

In 1995-96 it  took 22 games to hit 39 points and  we had won 11 of those.
P18 W 9 D 5 L 4  32 pts

96-97  W10 D 3 L 5   33 pts

1998-99  W  10 D 6 L 2  36 pts and top of the.league but we only went on to win 5 more games that season

07/08  W  8 D 5 L 5 29 pts

08/09 W  10 D 4 L 4  34 pts

09/10 W10 D 5 L 3 35 pts

20/21 W 9 D 2 L 7 29 pts

I'm a bit geeky but  I love comparing seasons.

I think we may get found out a bit in the second half of the season as teams adapt against us and injuries and suspensions hit.  We need to bring in a couple of fresh bodies if we have money to spend.   We have been brilliant so far but need to keep pushing and replace those we can't make any better.
