Every club has more fans the better they do. That's the reason we've gone from crowds of around 30k, a tier closed off and 11k in the League Cup at home to Boro to full houses, 30k on a waiting list and 5k to Boro in the FA Cup.
the 30k waiting list is a bit of a red herring given only 5% of those have ever been to a game at Villa Park (or have a record on the system as attending)

For the final time, I don't look like Adrian Chiles. I look (and play football) like a bald George Best, hours before his death.

A young Sir Bert Millichip would be fairer.

Deal.

That's not quite right.

And of the 37,000 on the season ticket waiting list, less than 5,000 have bought tickets in the past three years.

I know for a fact 3 people on that list have been to games but there's no record of it on the system.

There will also be loads of people who have been to matches but not as the ticket purchaser so won't be on the system. Especially from 3 years plus ago, as those would have included the championship years where we let any old fucker buy tickets.

I actually like seeing new blood in the league, which means it burns twice as bad when they inevitably turn around to reveal themselves as wankers.

Yes, but do you look like James Forsyth?

Had to google him and how dare you, you were saying Bertie Wooster as well but then you saddle me with this guy who's clearly Gussie Fink-Nottle.

He's a Stilton Cheesewright and you know it.

I'm willing to offer you an Oofy Prosser but not a penny more.

You're a Catsmeat Potter-Pirbright to me, Monty.

I can't work out, having just watched the incident again on the club site higlights, exactly why Unai got booked. He just seems to be trying to keep the peace, pulling his own players away from the fire

He's on the pitch, and he shouldn't be. Yes, he's trying to calm things down, but he's basically in the middle of it with, I think, a hand on an opposition player at one point.
He got booked for trying to control his players and next we'll be fined for NOT controlling them!
which the referee should have done instead of standing around waiting for things to happen

Sorry but I think you're wrong.  There were approximately ten, fully fit, peak of condition players all trying to wrestle each other with the odd slap being handed out in full-on pub brawl going on.  If you think that one man is going to break that up then you're dreaming.  Any referee physically getting involved in that is putting himself in real danger and the ref yesterday didn't.

Referee would be better advised to stand aside which he did, and the more sensible players would have calmed it down.  The referee would then be able to take appropriate action against those the he saw as the major culprits, he would then include everything he saw in his report and then let the governing authorities sort it out.  However poor that referee was yesterday there was nothing he could do to stop that stupidity and I don't blame him for that.

If you have just one player out of twenty two that doesn't want to play within the laws then you have a recipe for trouble, yesterday there was more than one who didn't and the referee's failure to notice and take action makes him just as culpable as to what eventually unfolded as those players.  Mee is a c**t!

He could have helped himself Dave by sending off Mee straight away for that textbook red card, instead it created a sense of Brentford being hard done by I felt.
