I thought Emery waited too long to shift Cash with Bailey. It did look hard for our team to build a forward move when Cash was part of it.

I don't think it would be frivolous to appeal the card for Kamara.  He didn't do a lot wrong. Great win.

Speaking of.... apparently Wesley posted and UTV and a crying laughing face after we won. I'm sure he's just a fan of his old club and it had nothing to do with anything else that happened.

Frank didn’t think it was a red card.

What a horrible, horrible, horrible little outfit Posh Wimbledon are. Absolutely horrible. So happy to beat that bunch of horrible cheats. Disappointed in Kamara losing control. Cash very poor today.

McGinn was excellent, not sure we were watching the same game.

Compared to his recent world class standards, controlling everything, breaking forward etc today he was not as impactful obviously not helped by playing more centrally to compensate for Dougie. A 7/10 performance, still the best from our midfield  but we and SJM weren't at his best today.

If Bailey's leg hand been grounded there's every chance Mee's challenge would have caused a serious injury.

We dominated the game, were waistful with the chances we created & gifted them a goal. There were large spells of the game where they had all 11 in or around their own box. We need to take it as a compliment because that's how shit teams play against top sides.

Special mention to the ref who is without doubt the weakest / easiest to bully in the league. He had zero control over anything that went on today.

They should have had two penalties, The Mee red card was wrong. What the fuck is it with London clubs?

That Mee challenge was terrible and we made him pay for it. Kamara was stupid, and only back from a suspension where we struggled badly without him, but Luiz, Digne and hopefully Tielemans back in the squad for next Friday night makes us stronger. Home win v Sheff United to go top!

Weird thing about Ben Mee is whenever I’ve heard him interviewed he sounds quite thoughtful and intelligent, but on the pitch he’s a thug. Saying that I know a few people like that in local 6-a-side, as soon as they cross the line they completely change, it’s quite odd.

Is he actually a thug or just really, really shit at timing tackles? The upshot is the same.

I don’t even know or care where Brentford is. Fuck them. Up the villa!
It's by the M4 in West London. Pretty non description place. The football club reflects It's surroundings. Fuck em.
without being pedantic it's the A4 , basically a collection of car showrooms , their poxy ground and way too many hipsters

I think the truth is in this artless comment from their forum

‘ I travelled to the game with my friend a Villa fan, I explained to him that he’s a lovely bloke but his team is scummy…’
