It does worry me seeing football teams flying in such old aircraft. Mind you, I was born in the same month as Munich disaster.
and its the infamous 737
TBF, it's not a MAX (obviously) and the 737, overall, has a decent safety record.
I flew from Perpignan to BHX in a  Ryanair 737 Max last year. They have two emergency exit rows that only have two seats abreast. Which I booked. Lots of space around you and no ****** invading it. And it hasn't crashed once.
You did well, there. It's always worth looking at the seat configuration on SeatGuru. Ryanair actually operate circa 6% of the total 737 MAX's in service. They only operate 737's.

Ryanair has never had a fatal crash. Aer Lingus last had one in 1968, when the aircraft was shot down by a British surface-to-air missile.

Randomly just remembered that story about Motorhead touring and their stage set having a replica Lancaster bomber above it, playing venues in Germany, and Lemmy saying, whilst pointing at the plane, "Evening Dresden, bet you haven't seen one of these in a while".

Probably apocryphal but hey ho.

Say hi to the match ball from Tonev's last game.with us.*

*Anoraks, please don't tell me he didn't have a shot in his last game or whatever or you'll ruin my fairly non-amusing quip.

Looks like the pilot took the wrong exit.  He went way past Mostar and is now doing a big loop back.
