Just watching MoD just for that move by Bailey as he cuts back and the defender sails by...

Like lots of others a poor night's sleep where I was just waiting for the alarm so I could get up and watch it again.

I was at the 5-1 and that was stunning up until half-time but did not have the intensity throughout as we had won it by then,

Dream...

Missed the match because of holiday booking,so the brother took his son who has been before but didn't have any interest since about 6 years ago,he loved it and sang song Sweet Caroline with the naughty bit about the blues, I am pleased, the confidence I have in Emery is unbelievable

Guardiola kept going on about our medium-block, and it occurred to me just how hard it is to play that way, to not get sucked into going too high nor dropping back to the 18-yard line. It's such a delicate balance, and it requires such coaching.

Just watched the highlights again on MOTD. That really is a proper shoeing.

Something that struck me this morning, watching some of it back while enjoying my breakfast, is just how well we knock the ball about with genuine confidence.  After years of dross, it still gives me kittens sometimes when we're knocking it around at the back and they've got three players pressing hard from the front, yet time and time again yesterday we passed it around them and then found a man in space in the midfield.   I've seen us do that to a few 'no-so-good' sides, but this was the first time I've seen us doing it to a team that usually do it to us.

The players look SO confident in how they play. The speed of passing to players who they KNOW will be in a particular space. I'm sure the time will come when I feel "comfortable" watching us play this way out from the back.  I'm not there yet, but a few more days like yesterday and it won't be long.  Can we have the next one on Saturday?

It was the thing I noticed about man city - passing through small spaces, taking the ball under pressure, passing to the keeper in front of the goal. We did it as well as them, if not better?

Shame they had to show 8 games so curtailed the highlights. Not that I bothered watching the other 7. To be fair the 2nd string are far less smug than the main line up

All that performance was missing was more goals.
That should have been a 3 or 4-0 game, the scoreline flattered City.
But if it helps us stay under the radar a bit longer, then so be it, we all know the truth.
I really believe we're on the cusp of something great here with Unai Emery.
