I find myself wondering how much of previous games playing Konsa on the right was in preparation for this game (or games like this)

Just started the first few minutes of The Villa Podcast. No-one talks about the Villa like those guys, a podcast worthy of the team.

Probably need to have a chat to my neighbours who I know well.
But I was very loud.

Not as loud as the sound of VP was by me.

Means nothing to anyone who doesn't know the area, but I live just down the Beeches side of Walsall Rd, by Tower Hill, maybe two miles from VP, and for the first half I thought it was a huge group of supporters at the Towers pub.

I knew what was them missing a chance, I knew what was us going close, I knew what was us winning a corner, and Leon's goal sent shivers down my spine.

And this is from inside the house, behind double-glazing.

I've never known the noise to carry so well and it was absolutely fucking magnificent.

I was gonna ask you about that after your post earlier. Brilliant stuff.

Well I'm about to head out to play footie with my O40's team (and I'm 56) and I'm here to advise that tonight, even at my age, I will be a massive full-kit wanker and proud of it :)

Claret and blue Fred Perry for me at work tonight underneath the standard work gear.

Do you ever wear anything but, Percy? 🙂

I have many colours, but I’ve never had the feeling this one is lucky. Luckily, there’s no luck in Unai’s armoury.

I've lived in this house since I was 2. I spent two years in Lichfield and six in Worcester, but otherwise this has been my home. I have never heard anything like it.

Whether it was just the wind blowing in the perfect direction or not, it was extraordinary. Credit to all the boys and girls there today.

The commentator summed it up at the end when he said referring to Man C "out thought, out fought and out played"
SUE is a genius.
We absolutely battered them, it should have been three or four.
Bring on Arsenal.

I used to go on the lam from my ex round there. Dyas Avenue I think it was. You must know it.

I wasn’t even grumpy with the dog getting me up at 5am for a wet and windy walk

It's been a problem for me since leaving England in 2006, mate. Particularly living in Asia with an 8/9 hour time difference.

If we win, yeah, the adrenaline. If we lose, I'm in a furious mood.

These 8pm ish kick offs aren't so bad, as that's 4/5 ish in Japan, and I have to get up at 5:30 for work anyway.

The 2pm Sunday games are more of a problem as that's 10/11pm here and by the time it's finished, it's gone midnight, and I have busy Mondays.

Still, if we're winning, fuck it, they can do a worksheet and I can drink coffee 😂

Their fans were rubbish last night too, barely a peep from them.

Sensational performance, great atmosphere, a half decent ref, sensible amounts of stoppage time in each half and no VAR interventions. What’s not to like?
