Remember the opening weekend we'd just lost 1-5 , then Fergie came out and said we were the best team or team that had impressed him the most that weekend . I thought he's pissed or absolutely trolling us.
Looks like one of the greatest managers ever had seen something already

But I was very loud.

Not as loud as the sound of VP was by me.

Means nothing to anyone who doesn't know the area, but I live just down the Beeches side of Walsall Rd, by Tower Hill, maybe two miles from VP, and for the first half I thought it was a huge group of supporters at the Towers pub.

I knew what was them missing a chance, I knew what was us going close, I knew what was us winning a corner, and Leon's goal sent shivers down my spine.

And this is from inside the house, behind double-glazing.

I've never known the noise to carry so well and it was absolutely fucking magnificent.

Typical Villa. Go all those games without a clean sheet and then get it against the treble winners from last season. Piece of piss this.

Just got home.
Atmosphere superb
Performance the best since Unai took over
It’s also put to bed the discussion about Konsa on the right - he and the rest of the back 4 were superb.
Who was our number 31 tonight? Hardly recognised him.

When it was the old Holte the people in West Brom town centre could hear it first.  Apparently to a few old dears I met there in the 80’ s
