Just a dream this.

We've been many top tier sides over the years. Usually through counter attacks and clinging on at the end.

When have we ever won with such supreme control like that? Bar 5-10 minutes after half time it never felt like we were in any danger whatsoever.

We're a CL club in waiting, we just have to keep believing it and produce it on the pitch as that was a 11/10 performance easily from everyone and the manager of course.

Superb!

We were fabulous against Newcastle last season, which was the best I’d seen for many years. This was off the scale - the intensity, skill and togetherness of this team is just remarkable. It feels like they will run through a brick wall for Emery. Ron Saunders had the same effect on players - just saying.

I’m 67 and first went with my Dad in 1966, for me this was the most complete performance since the 5-1 home win over Liverpool in 1976, everyone else a 9 out of 10 but Bailey a 10, what a night, thank you Unai.

Great result, shame about the dressing room photo. Need to back it up with a win under the lights on Saturday evening.

I had us down to win in my acca but, as soon as I saw the line up, I thought it was as good a time as any for Unai to start looking for a new employer. What the fcuk do I know as the Master came up trumps yet again. In view of that performance, I’m going to write to the board and plead that the manager should be given at least 2 more games to see if he can cut it as a Premier League manager!! Arsenal certainly didn’t think so.

If Unai can just weave his Baileyspell on Zaniolo ... ...

Zaniolo has a higher ceiling, based on previous.

I would agree... and it's taken until the start of this season for Bailey to come good under Unai, so not prepared to cut the loan short in Jan like some are calling for!

100% this,

The best football I've seen from a Villa team in 50 years

Yep, totally agree. What a privilege it is to get to watch this.

Don't usually post on the match threads as everything usually gets said but I have to say that, considering the opposition, for us to maintain that level of performance for the whole game was staggering. We looked much fitter, stronger and quicker than them. Absolutely up there with the Liverpool 5-1 from the 70's.

A faultless performance, which showed that it is unwise to fault Unai's team selection. Konsa at right back was the big surprise. SJM back to his brilliant best. Bailey phenomenal. Luiz/Kamara in complete control. Defence gave them nothing.

The one possible drawback is that we put so much into tonight's game that we will be short against Arsenal.

Mind blowing performance, I was in awe for most of the game at what we’ve become.

Special mention for the midfield, McGinn/Luiz/Kamara/Tielemans must be one of the best we’ve ever had. Endless running, combative but also incredibly skillful and composed. And they cost what, £18m between them?

My main reason for feeling a little giddy is the hope that that fills the players with the confidence that we can beat anybody.

So let's go out and win the FA Cup.

Hope not, really want to beat those f*ckers, preferably with a 97th minute winner so that our entire bench can run onto the pitch to celebrate.
