In disbelief at how we completely battered the reigning PL and European champions. To a man we were magnificent tonight. Couldn't give anyone less than a 10/10 tonight. 3 or 4 nil would have been more of an accurate reflection of the game.

I think thats the best I've ever seen us play. Genuinely

We beat the absolute SHIT out of them. We fucked them up all over the pitch. Unai, the selection was incredible, the tactics were masterly, the game management spot on.

Special mentions (I mean, everyone, but especially special):

Emi, the best keeper in the world;

Pau Torres, his best game for us;

Kamara, looked like an emperor in there;

Tielemans, a revelation recently;

Leon. Actual. Bailey. Just wow. The best performance by a 10/wide attacker/whatever in a Villa shirt in absolutely ages. The best since Grealish left. Actually? As good as Grealish on a very, very good day. Totally deserved the touch of luck for the goal, as did the whole team.

We totally did them, good and proper, no complaints and no excuses. We're fucking massive. I love it.

As I posted at full time in the match thread, the BBC only have Citeh having 2 chances all match, the two Ludo had in quick succession. We had 20 more then them.

This is just incredible. It’s like Emery uses mind bending powers on his players. Bailey has been transformed into the most exciting skill full player we’ve had since you know who but with more end product, Konsa looks like the best defender in the world. McGinn and Luiz are probably the leagues best midfielders.
