Man City will feel they've been sinned against (the irony of it).  Will the ref have a thought in his head they need favourable decisions to balance things up?

I also noticed that once the decision didn't go their way they took on the image of ManU throughout the 90s, surrounding the ref and taking it in turn to chew him out. Are they a bit rattled?  Can we exploit it?

In fairness any team that had been subject to that decision would have gone mad. One of the worst I can remember (not related to VAR)...

I'm not convinced we would have, nor our manager.

Agree, not only that, it's only the captain that's supposed to be doing the discussing, that's the rule, there should be retrospective bookings dished out.

I would look to use Moreno in this - if nothing else him pushing forward hopefully would negate any surging runs up the wing by Walker which are always dangerous.

We have to take our game to them - give them no respect and rattle a few of them early on.

I think their real danger is Foden as he is a real hand ful

Come on Villa

There's a massive difference without Rodri, he's the one player whose absence hits them more than any other.

Yep, he's a tremendous player. He was comfortably the best player on the pitch for their home semi final last season for example. I wonder if he fancies coming here and playing for a big club?

Luckily we won't be starting with a right flank consisting of Konsa and Bailey for this one, as Doku would have an absolute field day.

Daring to believe we might get something from this. They're on about as bad a run as they ever are and we're an unstoppable force at home.

Reckon we'll win one and lose one of the next two. Annoyed City will be playing Sunday.

Just had a read of the Blue Moon message board. Lots of praise for the Villa. They don't fancy City's chances without Rodri and possibly Doku.

Last time Rodri was suspended for 3 games the Manc twats lost all 3, he’s a huge miss for them.

I’m going to be bold and say
If we mess about at the back with Konsa as RB and Carlos in the middle or even worse play a back 3 then I think we will lose

If we go with the team he normally plays at home Konsa and Pao as the pair and the 2 full backs i think we will win

We'll go 442. A normal 442. We'll win. 14 on the fucking bounce, and legend status beckons.
