If Watkins is out Emery may start with a front three of Duran with Bailey and Diaby either side.
Tough game this, would be a wounder not to go into the Man City game on the back of a win.

A close 2-0 us (Bailey, McGinn)

Martinez
Cash
Konsa
Torres
Digne
Luiz
Mcginn
Tilemans
Bailey
Duran
Diaby
We really can not afford to concede the midfield.
So 2 out of the 3 of Diaby, Duran and Bailey.
I think it will be Bailey that misses out.

Replace Bailey with JJ in a more advanced position is my guess, then bring Bailey on in his super sub role.

These are a southern version of Burnley , physical battle ahead, solanke and Billing who is one dirty bastard will need watching . There may even be a case for Dendonker at some point in this one.

Dendocker is possibly a start in the pivot for me as Tielemans has struggled in that role when he's been played there.

Not for me I would rather McGinn drop into the Pivot and use one of or a combination of Zaniolo, Bailey, Ramsey. Under Uni, McGinn played that role well.

what we can't do is concede an early goal. We need to come out of the traps faster in these away games

Hopefully Watkins will be fit to start. Would be nice to start an away game on the front foot and get the first goal.

They’ve picked up after a crap start but I think we’ll have too much for them.

The first of 3 victories in the next 7 days…and if that comes to fruition, we’re in the title race!

With Kamara missing I can easily see a back 3 of Torres, Carlos and Konsa with Luiz in front of them, JJ, SJM,Cash and Digne, and Tielemans, Duran and Diaby up top.

If Watkins is a doubt I’d start Zaniolo up top. Leaving us Bailey & Duran as impact subs as not sure Zaniolo has played a full 90 for us has he?

Not in the league he hasn't. 75 is the most he's played, and that was only twice. Not sure about the other competitions.

I think Emery will go with McGinn in the middle. It takes him from his best position though on the right. The Donk is a long way down the pecking order currently.

Important to get three points here to set us up for the big home double header coming up

That's my thought too, just need to get the three points. A win would ease some of the pressure ahead of the two home games, meaning 2 defeats or a draw or two wouldn't be a disaster in terms of top 4/5.

psychologically it would . 2 draws would be just acceptable but ideally 4 points (or more)
