Solid team. Olsen will be fine. Very happy with that. Welcome back Alex Moreno. And hoping to see Jhonny D put in a great display.

This post has got the potential to age very badly.

Or cause needless mass hysteria.

Martinez isn't going to start every match, even when fit. The levels of breakdown whenever olsen starts are kinda silly

So if we have to play a load of extra games in February because Olsen drops a clanger and we chose to put Martinez on the bench, therefore finishing as runners up in the group, that won’t be kinda silly?

It's so so so boring lads, the same shit every time

Bizarre.

Mass hysteria?  Can't say I saw scenes of mass panic on the streets of Witton on the walk down to the ground.

I’ve never been sure about that old adage of if you treat people like animals; they’ll behave like them. Guess we might find out.

The current police posture causes hostility but it’s also what comes from a supporter group that gains that reputation. Police can inflame the situation but they will also be panned by fans and the media of anything happens that could have been avoided. And it’s always a minority that ruins it for the majority.

I was thinking the same. Not sure kettling people if they’ve done nothing wrong will work out in the long run, it just rules people.

I'm not sure the best way to diffuse any potential flashpoints is to lock them in a car park for a couple of hours when it's cold, and not let them in the ground with less than half an hour to kick off.

It's also worth remembering that while there will be some twats in their support, their normal fans that are just like us are also being treated like shit.

What's the reasoning for the police to be doing that to them?

Seems a pretty shitty thing to do to them, if it was our fans being treated like that away in Europe then I think we'd be pretty pissed off.
