I was waiting to see if the police had hoses or horses. Turns out it was hosses.

Brother said last week they were bringing the horses in

I'd imagine the police are using tonight more as a training exercise than anything else. By all accounts there's more police out tonight than any other game we've played possibly ever.

Solid team. Olsen will be fine. Very happy with that. Welcome back Alex Moreno. And hoping to see Jhonny D put in a great display.

This post has got the potential to age very badly.

Or cause needless mass hysteria.

Martinez isn't going to start every match, even when fit. The levels of breakdown whenever olsen starts are kinda silly

Alkmaar are currently leading Mostar. AIUI that means that if it stays that way we are through as neither can overtake us. But we would still like to win tonight by two clear goals to ensure that we win the group and don't face a Europa League chuck out. So I would've gone for a stronger line up to night and then, if it all goes to plan, send the reserves out to the dead rubber in 2 weeks time

So if we have to play a load of extra games in February because Olsen drops a clanger and we chose to put Martinez on the bench, therefore finishing as runners up in the group, that won’t be kinda silly?

While an element of Legia fans are obviously twats, I do wonder how us, the city and WMP are planning on coping with 50k fans for tournament internationals when they seem to be struggling with less than 2k away fans.

The only two questions I have is where the hell is Ollie and why Olsen now?

Someone posted during the week something like "we'll be fine as long as he doesn't play Olsen" and I thought to myself why on earth would anyone think we'd play Olsen now, when he hasn't featured in this competition at all?! But here we are.

Haven't Legia not won a game in their last 5? I'm sure I'd heard something along the lines of 3 defeats and two draws in the Polish League.
I like throwing in a new face rather than a complete team change. It gives the player the chance to show what he can do with the big boys rather than the stiffs. Our midfield is strong tonight, let's see how Duran gets on with some good service over 90 minutes.

Do we ever keep a clean sheet? Even with Martinez.

Yeah, I have similar feelings. Not so much about the 50k thing, but about how we seem to be grabbing at the chance of going all 1980s again because some forrins are here for the match.
