Media would have creamed themselves if someone like Beckham had put that ball in for Pau's goal.

We really need an upgrade on Cash , and Diaby needs to have a good look at himself he simply isn't doing it lately

As passive as we were in the first half , i always thought if we actually got going we would break that Spurzz. defence

And Dougie is such a class player these days as well.

He's a baller in possession but thought his application without it was more than a bit suspect today. Lost good few duels.
Gave away some silly free kicks on the edge of the box at the end too , luckily they didn't cost us

I was not expecting a win today. Thank you Villa. Who knew football could be so enjoyable?

I love the fact that Unai sees what we see.  Taking Cash and Diaby off, changed the game.  We had someone linking midfield to attack in Tielemans and Bailey staying wider occupied them much more.  I thought we were much more in control second half and the Torres goal took most of the zip from them before half time as they knew we would change things.  I actually thought we looked a shade lazy and lacking in ruthlessness in parts but won't comfortably, despite their disallowed goals.  If you're offside, your offside, no matter what, same for us in the first half with Ollie's goal.  Good saves from Emi when needed.  It shows that we need a right sided midfielder instead of Cash.

Great win.  I have an irrational hatred of Spurs, not sure why, so lovely to beat them, something we are getting very used to.

This Villa team is still learning and evolving  and there are certainly going to be games like today's when we look all over the place and with the genius we now have in charge you just know that these types of performances are going to be ironed out, slowly but surely.  Hang on in there folks, there's something special happening down the Villa.

An early birthday present for me, thanks Villa.

Diaby has hit a flat spot form wise and deservedly hooked at half time. But he's a cracking player in need of a spell out. Bailey mixed the sublime with ridiculous as per usual but deserves more of a run now.

Cash was just played out of position.would give him a pass for today

Great result.  I’m happy.

The first half was shit but we missed as many chances as they did.

Watkins finish was top drawer too. Pleased for him.

There is a reckless intensity to how spurs play, lots of energy, but lots of badly timed and ill-judged challenges. Oh well what a same.

Brilliant second half.

Emery saw it too. He corrected it and we looked far better.
Let's not pretend we played well today or you can if you want , I'm delighted with the 3 points but we got away with this one
