Well that has upset the Sky love in with Spurs
You could sense the disappointment in the commentator's voice

Doubt Alan Smith who is a Villa fan was that disappointed

Huge character to come back from a poor first half

I don't think it was a smash and grab. We didn't play well at times but scored twice, hit the post, had a very close offside, missed 2 or 3 good chances. 15 shots to their 18.
Same. They basically had a 20 minute spell where they should have been more clinical but still looked quite suspect at the back. They'd had a warning from Pau early on, didn't learn their lesson and he scored as perfectly timed an equaliser as we'll have all season. Second half we were more dangerous than them I felt.

Absolute quality from Watkins to win it. Our inability to retain possession after going 2-1 up was infuriating. With the right pass it would have been 2 on 2 on every counter. A long way from our best but subs/tactical switch at half time changed everything for the better. Lots of players on both sides running on empty late on. Really don't want to see Carlos/Torres as a CB partnership too often again. Carlos wants to drop off at every opportunity. Thought Kamara was very good in the second half, especially given he was on a yellow.

If you had said to me we would be one point behind Citeh with one third of the season gone, and we’d be the second highest goal scorers, I would have said keep talking the wacky backy!

We were shit first half, & Spurs took advantage of that by creating a few chances, albeit, a lot of them were offside.

Second half we were much better & took our chance.

Apparently Spurs had a few injuries too... I wish that Sky would have mentioned it...

But fuck Sky & fuck Spurs.

Up to 4th, a bit of breathing space between 5th spot & we now have more wins than Liverpool & the same amount as Arsenal & ManC...

Mad game, think we've got away with one there. Fair play to Unai for making the changes at half time. That second half was more what we were all expecting I think.

Did Villa just play poorly and win away at a direct rival? I think we did, lads.

Does that mean Spurs are not going to win the league this year!
